Join our dynamic team as a Summer Camp Worker and embark on a rewarding journey of

creating memorable experiences for children enrolled. As a vital member of our summer camp

staff, you will contribute to the overall success of the program by facilitating engaging activities,

ensuring the safety and well-being of campers, and fostering a positive and inclusive camp

environment to inspire young minds through the exploration of creativity and faith in Jesus

Christ.

Westminster Schools of Augusta is a Pre-K through grade 12 regionally accredited,

coeducational, college-preparatory, Christian day school enrolling over 550 students. The 34-

acre campus is located in a residential section of Augusta, which is Georgia’s second-largest

metropolitan area. The school is affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church of Augusta (PCA),

but the student body and faculty include members from more than 50 different local churches of

various denominations. We are interested in receiving inquiries from applicants with sound

academic credentials who desire to work in a Christian environment with capable, cooperative

summer camp students. Applicants interested in impacting through having fun and educating

elementary students for Jesus Christ beginning June 2024.

Responsibilities:

Activity Coordination:

● Provide help to Lead Teacher with daily lesson plans to maximize camper

participation and enjoyment.

Camper Supervision:

● Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and security of all campers.

● Foster positive relationships with campers, addressing their needs and concerns.

Team Collaboration:

● Work collaboratively with fellow camp staff to create a cohesive and supportive

team environment.

Communication:

● Effectively communicate with campers, parents, and other staff members.

● Share daily highlights and challenges with appropriate parties.

Role Modeling:

● Demonstrate positive behavior and attitude as a role model for campers.

● Uphold camp policies and standards, promoting a respectful and inclusive

atmosphere.

Emergency Response:

● Be familiar with and adhere to emergency procedures.

● Respond promptly and appropriately to any camper-related incidents or

emergencies.

Qualifications:

● Previous experience working with children in a camp, educational, or recreational setting

is preferred.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

● Enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine passion for working with children.

● Ability to adapt to different situations and be flexible in a dynamic camp environment.

● CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Duration:

This is a seasonal position for the duration of the summer camp program.

Camp Aids will receive an hourly rate of $10.

Week 1: June 3 - June 7

Week 2: June 10 - June 14

Week 3: June 17 - June 21

Week 4: June 24 - June 28

(We are closed for the week of July 1-5)

Week 5: July 8 - July 12

Week 6: July 15 - July 19

Hours of operation are between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
