Lower School Physical Education Teacher
Westminster Schools of Augusta is a Pre-K through12 regionally accredited, coeducational, college-preparatory, Christian day school enrolling close to 650 students. The 34-acre campus is located in residential section of Augusta, which is Georgia’s second largest metropolitan area. The school is affiliated with First Presbyterian Church of Augusta (PCA),but the student body and faculty include members from more than 90 different local churches of various denominations.

Westminster seeks an experience, energetic Lower School Physical Education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. An ideal candidate would also be able to fill other openings such as the coaching positions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes
- Ensuring that children compete to their ability level and aren’t exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports
- Motivating school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuits
- Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
- Attending parents’ evenings and providing parents with comprehensive reports on their child’s progress
- Training and coaching school sports teams to compete and succeed in nation-wide events
- Transporting individual competitors, school teams and other teachers to and from school sporting events
- Ensuring that students pass their practical and theoretical PE exams
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Ability to work in a collegial environment
